The entering of the second five-year period of our Centre’s activities was marked by the sustained pace of our work. Some of the plans for the year 2010 I mentioned at the conclusion of the last year’s report may have appeared rather bold. Today I can say that every little thing has been accomplished, although it was a truly demanding year in all respects.

The five Reports on activities show that we have completed the first childhood period of creating an institution that can no longer be considered as a novice. 2005 Report on Activities

02.11.2007 |

Dear colleagues and friends, several years of cultivating educational activities in our discipline and the continuously improving clinical background have contributed significantly to the formation of a support platform on which it was possible to establish the Centre for Addictology of the Psychiatric Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine and the General Teaching Hospital in 2005. However, I believe that it is important to distinguish between the emergence of the discipline as such, the accreditation of the field of study, and the establishment of the Centre for Addictology. The three steps are connected; however, they cannot be seen as a completely homogeneous process.
