Information on the Editorial Board

The editorial board is the highest unit within the journal’s organisational chart, and is responsible for the professional level and content of the journal. Its members are selected on the basis of their professional engagement in the particular areas under consideration, both in theoretical and practical terms. Each member of the editorial board guarantees the level of expertise in the area he/she is professionally involved in, being responsible for said area of expertise (or field) in assessing contributions referred to the editor's office.

The journal’s board proposes and appoints members of the Technical Group for Counselling and Consulting. Depending on their areas of interest, the members of this advisory board may participate in activities associated with the journal and propose and submit changes to the board members for consideration. In addition, they are assumed, first and foremost, to be involved in refereeing proceedings and providing reviews of the contributions received, recommending them for publishing (or not) . However, the final decision on publishing is at the discretion of the editorial board members.

The editorial board meets twice a year. During these two sessions any relevant documents and the publishing scheme are discussed and agreed. The meetings are organised and managed by the production department in association with SCAN Association personnel. Board membership does not carry any remuneration.
