As far as the technical, organisational, and economic aspects are concerned, the ADIKTOLOGIE journal is prepared and published by the SCAN civic association. As needed, this agency employs and hires the personnel required to provide for the technical processing and preparation of contributions, the preparation of documents for the editorial board members, and the commission of reviews conducted by external examiners proposed by the editorial board members. In addition, the SCAN staff organise the setting, copy preparation, printing, and distribution of the periodical. The hired staff are also responsible for subscription management, the negotiation of advertising opportunities, and the acquisition of sponsor donations and subsidies that make the journal possible. Thus, the key task and objective of the SCAN Association is to provide high-quality administrative and technical support for the existence and operation of the journal's editorial board and the actual publishing of this periodical.
